American Government Trip – In October the seniors go on a ten-day trip to Washington D.C. Students are able to visit our Country’s Capitol and many national monuments.

Biology  Class – In the spring the sophomore class takes a trip to Big Bend .  While there they learn about various flowers and plants.  They hike and tour the Environmental Center and they also have time for bonding with their friends.

Junior Class Trip – In April the Junior class takes a trip to San Antonio to visit some  historical sites for American History.  They stop first in Austin to visit our State Capitol.  From there they head down to San Antonio to visit various monuments and museums. They end the trip with a visit to Fiesta Texas/Sea World.

Leadership Retreat – In the fall students who are elected to a leadership position go to leadership retreat at Camp Yorktown Bay in Arkansas to be trained and mentored in becoming an effective leader.

Mexico Mission Trip – During our Spring break a group of staff and students go down to Mexico to help build churches and have a Vacation Bible School for the young children in the community.  

The Mission Trip meets the 100 hour outreach requirement for graduation.

Senior Class Trip –  Each year the senior class decides on a week long trip in the spring of their senior year.  They raise funds each year to plan for their class trip. Each year varies ranging from Disney World in Florida to house boats along Lake Powell in Utah.

Senior Retreat – Each fall the senior class goes on a retreat to Brownwood, Texas.  It is a time for setting goals, getting acquainted with each other, spiritual renewal and fun.

Ski Trip – In February CTA has a tradition that they take a trip to Colorado to ski/board for a week.  The Ski Trip enables students to really get to know the faculty and each other.  This is a time to create lifetime friendships and gain memorable experiences for years to come.
